Things that I feel would be good for college

I need to buy a few things, but I already have the basics for an amazing dorm. First, I have a quad-core. This will allow me to virtualize multiple operating systems without cutting out system overall speed. Next I have an Xbox 360. Pretty self explanitory. I have a TV, which is big enough to attract the ladies. and finally I have plenty of portable devices and other such entertainment.

I will make a list of things I should probably buy:

  1. Mini-fridge
  2. Microwave
  3. An HDMI for my Xbox
  4. Maybe two more Xbox controllers. I may want to be able to have four play at once.
  5. A few ethernet calbles

Here is my persoal doodle of what my dorm may look like:

There are closets and a door on the left side of the room, so I haven't put anything there.

Any suggestions of things that I may need for college?

Question, where are you going to school?

You probably won’t be able to score a microwave. My school at least doesn’t allow them in dorm rooms. There are, however, several in my dorm in kitchens, etc.

We can have microwaves. Maybe Notre Dame just sucks.

I am going to DePaul. Also, does U of I have abundant kitchen facilities? Perhaps a lacking of school kitchens would allow the in-room microwave.

Maybe your rooms are just so small that they pity you enough to let you have fire hazards in your room.

Or the campus is boring, so you would have to cook non-food items, such as peeps, for entertainment.
